Tucked between the frustratingly stunted interface, sluggish processing time, and off-kilter algorithms for auto-adjusted contrast are some refreshingly helpful features, among them color temperature tweaking, an ironing tool, and auto-white balance.

Despite some usability setbacks, we did tease out some good quality photos. While Zoner Photo Studio Professional won't be most professionals' top pick, it could suit beginner and intermediate users who want an affordable image-editing solution that includes some high-tech editing details.
